With its extraordinary roll-axis and unique action, the FLAPSLAP has earned a niche reputation for its intensely powerful flashing appeal. The specially designed shaft balancer, placed ultra-low along the bottom of the body and slightly offset from the roll axis of the action, powers a pendulum action that enhances and stabilizes the lure’s outsized roll-axis and flash. This results in water agitation comparable to that of much bigger-bodied crankbait, supercharging the FLAPSLAP’s results in challenging conditions.
With nearly instantaneous startup action from the first handle turn, its unique high-pitch screw drive action emits a striking strobe flash, evoking a fleeing shad. This otherworldly flat-sided bait contributed significantly to Edwin Evers’ victory at the 2016 BASSMASTER Classic.
